The Veronicas Still Exist? merchandise
After receiving market research suggesting The Veronicas were suffering an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ mentality from the general public, Jessica, Lisa and myself devised a tongue-in-cheek way of announcing their return to the forefront whilst generating revenue at the same time.
The merchandise was launched in a series of social media posts, highlighting Jessica & Lisa wearing the not-yet-available pieces. The pieces were available exclusively at a series of live performances, later being given a global release through their webstore.
Additionally, The Veronicas Still Exist? merchandise was serviced to media and influencers across Australia, New Zealand and the UK, generating hype ahead of the release of their #1 single ‘In My Blood’ and drive further sales.
The messaging received positive press from a number of media outlets, including news.com.au and Buzzfeed.
The Veronicas Still Exist? messaging was carefully integrated into The Veronicas’ live performances including Jessica, Lisa and their band wearing the merch on stage, during media appearances and on the head of the band’s kick drum, which was featured heavily through a series of television performances.
